Travel Plaza Cashier

Job Description:

As a Travel Plaza Cashier at Onvo, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service

Job Responsibilities

* Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to accurately and efficiently process cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
* Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and provide assistance with product location or services.
* Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking and facing merchandise near the register.
* Handle cash and maintain a balanced till at the beginning and end of each shift.
* Process fuel and merchandise sales, including lottery tickets, tobacco products, and other convenience store items.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to age-restricted sales.
* Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management when necessary.
* Promote special offers, loyalty programs, and company services to customers.

Job Qualifications

* Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in a retail or convenience store setting.
* Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and make change.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
* Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
* Must be at least 18 years of age due to tobacco and lottery sales regulations.
