Business Continuity Planning Officer - Associate- Risk & Resiliency

Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our CDRR Technology team as a Business Continuity Planning Officer, in Firm Resilience to work as part of a global team to support strategic Planning program development and fulfilment of internal and external planning and testing requirements.

This is Associate position that Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to ensure operational continuity and resilience in the face of potential threats or disruptions that could impact the organization, plus management of ongoing incidents. What you’ll do in the role:

• Support the Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience programs by partnering with Business Units to ensure continuity plans, recovery strategies, and resilience activities are maintained.
• Coordinate the review, maintenance, testing, and approval of assigned Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)
• Deliver Business Continuity Planning tool training, awareness sessions, and user support.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of Business Continuity Plans, recovery documentation, and testing artifacts; identify gaps and track remediation actions
• Coordinate regular stakeholder meetings, governance forums, and working groups, ensuring action tracking and program oversight.
• Contribute to continuous enhancement of BCM and Operational Resilience methodologies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate and support business continuity exercises, tabletop simulations, operational resilience testing, and recovery validation activities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance management information, resilience metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions using Power BI and visualization tools.

• Support governance forums, committees, and stakeholder engagements through reporting, analysis, and coordination.
• Support local, regional, and global resilience initiatives, program enhancements, and transformation projects.
• Partner with country management teams during disruptive events by supporting incident coordination, communications, documentation, escalation tracking, and post-event reviews.
• Support third-party resilience assessments, vendor testing activities, operational resilience reviews, and recovery exercises.
• Participate in client-facing meetings and due diligence reviews supporting presentations of the Firm's BCM and Operational Resilience framework.
• Analyze business continuity, testing, incident, and resilience data to identify trends, emerging risks, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 4+ years of professional experience in a Business Continuity Planning and Operational Resiliency Role
• Understanding of existing and emerging Regulatory examination and audit on the financial sector regarding Business Continuity and Operational Resilience
• Understanding of industry best practices pertaining to Business Continuity Planning and Testing
• Data analytics and trend analysis and AI-enabled reporting and analytics awareness
• Power Automate, Power Apps, Tableau, Alteryx (desired)
• Experience working with large datasets and management information
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) with the ability to articulate program enhancements to key stakeholders>
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and calm under pressure
• Computer skills: Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) 
• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification or similar Risk Management, or technical background
• Knowledge of BC Planning Tool, Fusion RM
