Frontend Engineer (Medical Imaging Viewer)

We are building a web-based medical imaging viewer that helps researchers and scientists turn imaging data into actionable insights. As aMiddle Frontend Engineer (Medical Imaging Viewer), you will partner with engineering, product, and design to tackle complex UI work and API-adjacent integration challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design foundational functionality for a web-based medical imaging viewer
• Develop user interfaces with TypeScript and ReactJS
• Maintain current frontend capabilities while improving performance and reliability
• Collaborate with engineers to investigate issues and deliver effective solutions
• Coordinate with product and design to ship intuitive, responsive UI aligned with a design system
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as refinement, planning, standups, and retrospectives
• Contribute to an Angular-based frontend application when needed

Requirements

• Hands-on frontend development experience of 2+ years in professional settings
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and ReactJS
• Proven experience with DICOM Medical Viewers, including OHIF/DICOM
• Solid API and integration skills across client/server boundaries
• Good knowledge of frontend architecture, including state management and component design
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Nice to have

• Experience working in regulated environments or on healthcare/clinical trial software
• Experience with Python or Go to collaborate effectively on backend topics
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines, including exposure to GitLab CI
• Experience contributing to or maintaining large open-source projects
