Senior Frontend Engineer (Medical Imaging Viewer)

We are looking for aSenior Frontend Engineer to build and evolve a web-based medical imaging viewer that helps researchers and scientists turn imaging data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and design to solve complex UI and API-adjacent problems.

Responsibilities

• Design core functionality for a web-based medical imaging viewer
• Build user interfaces using TypeScript and ReactJS
• Maintain existing frontend features and improve performance and reliability
• Collaborate with engineers to analyze problems and implement solutions
• Coordinate with product and design to deliver intuitive, responsive UI aligned with a design system
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as refinement, planning, standups, and retrospectives
• Contribute to an Angular-based frontend application when needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Strong TypeScript and ReactJS experience
• Proven DICOM Medical Viewers experience, including OHIF/DICOM
• Strong API and integration skills across client/server boundaries
• Solid frontend architecture knowledge, including state management and component design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Nice to have

• Experience with regulated environments or healthcare/clinical trial software
• Experience with Python or Go for backend collaboration
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, with GitLab CI exposure
• Experience contributing to or maintaining large open-source projects
