About the job
A problem isnโt truly solved until itโs solved for all. Thatโs why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, youโll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Youโll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in program management.
- Experience with the end-to-end software development life cycle (e.g., build, test, and release).
- Experience working in a technical environment on a software engineering team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholders management.
Responsibilities
- Advocate AI to help develop innovative new tooling and processes and unlock new ways to accelerate programs beyond traditional program management methods.
- Support the development and manage comprehensive roadmaps, charters, and plans for cross-functional health initiatives. Work with cross functional team members to manage project scopes, develop resource plans, and define measurable goals to ensure highly interdependent projects hit milestones on time.
- Leverage technical expertise to drive programs end-to-end across the full development lifecycle.
- Build alignment across a wide array of cross-functional partners to clearly define workstreams, requirements, schedules, and resourcing.
- Tailor communications and status reports for stakeholders, ranging from execution to executive leadership, ensuring transparency on program health, progress, and strategic pivots.
