Join a seed funded start up as the inaugural Integrations Specialist/ API Engineer - previous experience in integration of PMs/ DMS is essential. This firm has an automation first approach, powered by AI, and is already transforming legal practice.
The firm are building an exceptional team, from Engineering Lead to GTM team and Legal Engineers for each practice area. Growing rapidly with a scalable roadmap, you will be a key part of this new team, building the success of the solution and exceeding customer satisfaction. In this crucial role, you will own the full integration lifecycle from post sale to go live.
About the Role
End-to-end ownership of customer integrations: scoping, configuration (auth, tenant validation, allow listing, permissions, document store setup), sandbox and live testing, and delivery
Scope integration approaches for new CMS partners, prototype solutions, and hand clear technical requirements to Engineering for product enhancement
Manage strategic vendor relationships — securing API access, isolating issues, surfacing undocumented behaviour, and negotiating workarounds when standard paths fall short
Debug production integration issues by tracing logs, pinpointing the failure layer (our side, vendor side, or customer config), and routing to Engineering with a clean diagnosis
Build the assets that scale delivery: implementation playbooks, vendor setup guides, troubleshooting matrices, readiness checklists, and CS handoff notes
Feed patterns from customer integrations back to Engineering as product requirements
About You
Skills in building, configuring, and debugging production API integrations in legal technology - conveyancing is ideal
End-to-end implementation ownership, not just building integrations, but driving them to completion with customers
Skills in scripting, data transformation, and API orchestration
Comfort working with webhooks and debugging common failure modes (expiry, missed events, config drift)
Experience mapping data across systems that model the same concepts differently
Strong communication skills across customer calls, vendor negotiations, and internal co-ordination
Genuine interest in legal technology and how law firms operate
Preferred
Direct experience with legal tech platforms, especially in conveyancing
iPaaS or integration platform experience
A track record of creating implementation documentation and runbooks that other teams actual use
SQL familiarity and ability to reason about how integration data flows into a data warehouse
On-prem and hybrid deployment experience (self-hosted systems, firewall rules, VPNs)
Multi-tenant integration management across hundreds of accounts
Experience building observability and alerting for integrations at scale
