Position Overview

As an integral member of the IT FX/ MFG 4.0 Solution Portfolio team, the candidate needs to apply a high level of business systems analysis expertise in the Manufactory area. The candidate should have working knowledge on a manufacturing environment. Besides having extensive knowledge of Manufactory domain, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), also need process/ digital solution Understanding with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Supply Chain/ costing domains such as Order Management, Inventory, Warehouse, Shipping, Transportation, Work in Process, Bills of Materials, and Purchasing, Standard costing would be an advantage. The candidate would lead analysis for conversion of existing legacy data, lead regression testing, and provide analyses and specifications for development work for any new or changed system requirements, to train, implement, and support business processes. Documents business policies, practices and procedures to meet company standards and user needs. Leverages existing system's standard functionality to implement efficient and consistent Avery Dennison Global processes and procedures. Brings a level of functional and technical knowledge of Manufactory Execution System/ Advance Production Scheduling Digital Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build & Site Rollout Management 

• Provides Leadership and support for Apparel MES/APS/WMS global solution design & implementation/ rollout project execution from Business Process & Digital solution perspective.

• Translate business objectives into requirements and functional specifications, supporting document creation and automation efforts.

• Utilize business analysis, data mapping and data validation to assist the development of coding specifications.

• Manages the execution of testing for assigned deliverables; identify and document test defects, document quality issues and communicate defects to assure resolution.

• Prepares test and training plans. Develops training materials and delivers formal training for each new 

• Manage defect resolution throughout the system development life cycle.

• Effectively leads change, working with key-stakeholders including management and end users to ensure involvement, participation, and encouragement of others ideas and contributions for effective teamwork and project completion.

• Participates and provides full and complete regression testing of system changes for patches and upgrades including working with Software Suppliers to diagnose and resolve problems with the MES system. In addition, tests and prepares new functionality as made available or as business requirements indicate. Ensures patches and upgrades are applied prior to production implementation.

• Provides support to end users for Supply Chain/ Manufactory modules and processes including interfacing with third party systems, like MES, Shipping

2. Project Management

• Project Management & Scheduling: Serve as the primary IT PM Coordinator for site building & rollouts—tracking project charters, schedules, resource allocation, and key deliverables from scoping to final hand-over.

• Vendor & Partner Coordination: Act as the operational bridge between site business stakeholders, MFG4.0 team , IT team and external implementation vendors, ensuring third-party technical deliverables meet timelines and quality standards.

• Education:Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or Advanced Degree.

• MES/WMS Implementation / 0-to-1 Experience: 5+ years of hands-on Business Analyst experience with Manufacturing Execution System(MES) / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in manufacturing, warehousing, or apparel/industrial environments, including direct experience in 0-to-1 MES/WMS implementations OR full-lifecycle deployments

• Basic understanding of Shipping Module in ERP (Oracle eBS/ Fusion ERP / SAP)  system. 

• ERP Integration: Experience with WMS/MES integration to Oracle Fusion ERP or SAP S/4HANA.

• Project Coordination Track Record: Proven experience acting as an IT Project Coordinator, managing multi-site software rollouts, vendor schedules, and cross-functional project deliverables.

• PM Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications are advantageous.

• English Proficiency:Fluent/Proficient in English (both written and spoken) with exceptional communication skills, confident in leading workshops and coordinating independently with MFG4.0 team, global IT, site leaders, and external vendors. Mandarin is a plus. 

• Familiar with the global digital solution standardization & plant rollout model, great collaboration/ Teamwork with different cultures across the world.

• Very logical thinker.Very organized and structured in methodology and work habits.

• Ability to see a need and provide a solution even if before being asked to provide a solution. Capable of performing analyst type tasks to understand and evaluate the business process/ requirement / change and define in detail the logical solution to the business need, using existing functionality or specifying upgrades to functionality to resolve business problems.

• Sensitivity and persuasiveness skills to help the users understand what they may need vs. what they request.

• Assertive leadership, with effective skills in gaining internal customers’ - management and users’ - cooperation and acceptance of changes.

• Training skills-- ability to organize, develop and deliver effective training using presentation, interaction and feedback. Prepare materials to facilitate hands-on learning.

• Strong creativity and troubleshooting skills required, with ability to logically isolate and resolve complex problems, whether business or system oriented.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently domestic and international.

• Strong planning and scheduling and manufacturing focus to help deliver what our customers want and need. Supply Chain Planning/ Constrain Planning/Production Scheduling and manufacturing knowledge / background.

• Must possess a strong "sense of urgency" to get work done quickly and correctly.

• Independent workers - must be able to self-manage to a large part while planning and reporting task progress to supervisor and team.

• Apparel/ Printing industry manufactory experience and/or Oracle ERP (EBS/Fusion) is a strong plus.
