JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Overview
The Medical Strategist leads the development of the Integrated Medical Strategy for the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score product area, bringing together clinical data, stakeholder and market insights, and evolving evidence needs to inform Medical priorities and plans in alignment with the overall product strategy.
Operating in a matrixed environment, the role partners across Medical and cross-functionally to help shape Medical’s contributions to a unified ODX evidence strategy and coordinate execution of evidence-generation plans. This role also helps shape KOL engagement plans, including advisory board planning and execution, and synthesizes insights from HCP and KOL interactions to inform Medical priorities and activities.
In partnership with relevant stakeholders, this role supports marketing, sales training, commercialization, and launch efforts by translating clinical evidence into appropriate medical messaging and materials.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develops and executes integrated medical strategies to support product development, enhancement, commercialization and growth in alignment with commercial and portfolio plans.
- Facilitates a regular cadence of medical strategy meetings to socialize and review the status of integrated medical strategies, shape clear medical recommendations to inform key initiatives, and ensure visibility to and alignment with broader business strategies.
- Partners with stakeholders across the Medical organization to drive key activities outlined in the integrated medical strategies, including, but not limited to:
- Evidence generation strategy and planning efforts
- KOL engagement plans, including ad board planning and execution
- Translation of clinical data into medical messaging to support marketing and sales training efforts
- Medical support for commercialization and launch efforts
- Responsible for bringing visibility and coordination to key medical deliverables to drive alignment, effective collaboration and cohesive execution.
- Leverages subject matter expertise to continuously assess the evolving product landscape to identify evidentiary gaps, risks, and opportunities for differentiation and improvement in close collaboration with the Product Strategy function.
- Plans and facilitates annual Innovation Session, driving productive discussions that frame issues and synthesize insights into a clear output and actions to inform strategic planning .
- Maintains strong, proactive, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners, ensuring medical perspectives inform key business decisions and fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in Medical Strategy, Medical Affairs, or a related function within the pharmaceutical and/or diagnostics industry.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including overnight or weekend travel as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn and effectively use project management, collaboration, and other business technology platforms.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.Â
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences, molecular biology, business, or a related discipline (e.g., MS, MBA, PharmD, or PhD).
- Strong clinical, medical, or scientific background in oncology, with experience in breast cancer preferred.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, leading through influence, and coordinating cross-functional development of medical strategies.

The base pay for this position is
$99,300.00 – $198,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
