System Specialist, Secure Infrastructure Business Unit
At NetNordic, we build and operate business-critical infrastructure for customers across the Nordics. We are now looking for aSystem Specialist (IBM Power focus) to join our Secure Infrastructure team and contribute to thedelivery and development of IBM Power-based infrastructure solutions and related technologies.
In this role,IBM Power environments are your core focus area, but you will also work with surrounding infrastructure technologies such as virtualization, storage, backup, high availability, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
This is ahands-on role combining technical expertise, solution development, customer collaboration, and operational responsibility. You willwork closely with customers, service delivery teams, architects, and internal specialists to build scalable, resilient, and maintainable infrastructure environments.
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers, and continuously improving infrastructure services and ways of working.

What You’ll Be Doing
Solution Design & Infrastructure Development
Design and develop IBM Power-based infrastructure solutions aligned with customer requirements and best practices
Plan and optimize virtualization, LPAR configurations, and resource allocation
Support the development of scalable, resilient, and high-performing environments
Participate in lifecycle planning, modernization initiatives, and capacity planning
Contribute to disaster recovery and high availability solution development
Customer Collaboration
Work closely with customers to understand business and technical requirements
Translate customer needs into clear technical solutions and recommendations
Act as a trusted technical advisor in customer discussions
Produce high-quality technical documentation and solution descriptions
Service Delivery & Technical Expertise
Participate in implementation and operational activities as part of our managed services delivery
Troubleshoot and optimize complex infrastructure environments
Support performance analysis, tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives
Development & Continuous improvement
Contribute to service development, standardization, and best practices
Support internal knowledge sharing and capability development
Continuously develop your expertise within IBM Power and modern infrastructure technologies
What we Expect
We are looking for an infrastructure professional with interest or experience in IBM Power environments and a hands-on mindset. You may already have strong expertise in the area, or you may be looking to deepen your skills further with the support of the teams experienced colleagues and mentors.
Experience or strong interest in IBM Power environments and infrastructure operations
Understanding of IBM Power Systems architecture
Experience with:
PowerVM and LPAR virtualization
HMC management
AIX and/or Linux environments
High availability and backup solutions
Performance tuning and troubleshooting
Understanding of HA/DR principles and operational best practices
Ability to produce clear and structured technical documentation
Strong customer communication and collaboration skills
Fluent Finnish and English language skills are needed
The role includes occasional travel within Finland depending on customer and project needs. NetNordic compensates travel expenses, daily allowances, and mileage reimbursements in accordance with the Finnish Tax Administration guidelines.

You understand that modern infrastructure roles require both strong technical capability and the ability to communicate, document, and collaborate effectively.Most importantly, you have a strong willingness to learn and continuously develop your expertise.We value curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the right mindset as much as previous experience.
Storage and network infrastructure knowledge
SAN and I/O architecture understanding
Experience with automation and cloud technologies
Experience with disaster recovery planning and multi-site environments
Familiarity with IBM Power Virtual Server or hybrid cloud environments
Knowledge of OpenShift on Power or other modern platform technologies
