We are hiring anEvent Operations Manager - Adelaide International to join our team to help deliver a world-class tournament experience for players, partners, sponsors and fans alike.This is a full-time fixed-term contract based until March 2027 in Melbourne or Adelaide.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leading the end-to-end operational delivery of the Adelaide International, ensuring the event is delivered safely, professionally, on budget and to a world-class standard
• Managing event operations including venue overlay, event build, court resurfacing, practice facilities, catering, transport, accreditation, player services and court services
• Developing and executing operational plans, event schedules and functional area procedures to ensure seamless tournament delivery and player readiness
• Managing event budgets, forecasting expenditure, monitoring costs and ensuring financial outcomes are achieved within agreed parameters
• Leading, recruiting and developing staff, contractors and volunteers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture across all event operations functions
  
  

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

• Bring demonstrated experience delivering large-scale sporting, entertainment or major event operations in complex, dynamic environments
• Have strong project management and operational planning capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, suppliers and competing priorities
• Possess sound financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, procurement and contractor management
• Be an exceptional relationship builder, able to engage effectively with players, officials, venue operators, government representatives, commercial partners and internal teams
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills with experience motivating, coaching and developing teams, contractors and volunteers to achieve outstanding event outcomes
• Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
