Responsible for an assigned area in a childcare center setting. Create and lead an environment that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences within a classroom setting. Cultivates a childcare environment that provides a quality of service that customers describe as excellent.Job Description
Coordinate the implementation of developmentally-appropriate curriculum that supports and enhances children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Assess the skills and progress of each child using observations, assessment tools, and activity records. Create a positive and constructive relationship with parents and families. Train and supervise staff, providing guidance and coaching as needed. Lead monthly staff meetings in assigned room and provide input to staff reviews.Qualifications
Associates degree in child development, early childhood education or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.Two years experience in childcare and instruction and/or supervisory responsibilities required. Child Development Associate (CDA) certification & three years experience may be substituted for degree. BLS, Pediatric CPT, AED, First Aid must be completed within 90 days of hire. Annual CE training up to 13 hours required. Fingerprinting and federal background check completed prior to entering the building/classroom.
