Divisional Managing Director - Building Access Specialists (BAS)

We're looking for an exceptionalDivisional Managing Director to lead our Building Access & Specialist Division – a group of three established specialist businesses employing around 650 people across the UK.

With strong brands, an established customer base, and operating in a buoyant, growing market, the foundations are already in place. The opportunity now is to unlock the division's full commercial potential, accelerate profitable growth, improve operational performance, and build a business that consistently exceeds expectations.

Success will be measured throughstrategic leadership,commercial delivery, operational excellence, and your ability to build high-performing teams that embrace change and drive results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for the BAS Division.

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing Senior Leadership Team across multiple specialist businesses.

  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability and operational performance.

  • Champion a culture where health, safety and quality are embedded in everything we do.

  • Build strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders and Group colleagues.

  • Identify commercial opportunities and support future acquisitions and integration activities.

  • Ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction and continual improvement across the Division.

  • Drive collaboration, standardisation and best practice across all businesses.

  • Deliver strong financial performance through effective planning, forecasting and business reviews.

About You:

You're an accomplished executive with a proven track record of leading large, multi-site service businesses. Commercially astute and strategically minded, you're passionate about developing people, driving operational excellence, building high-performing teams and delivering sustainable growth.

You'll bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience within a multi-site or field service environment.

  • A proven ability to lead large operational teams through senior managers.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with full P&L responsibility.

  • Experience delivering growth, operational improvement and strategic change.

  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence at Board level.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.

  • Experience within testing, inspection, compliance, engineering, building services or another technical service environment would be highly advantageous.

  • The emotional intelligence to develop people, build culture and lead through change.

You'll almost certainly have led multiple business units, brands, or regions within a complex organisation and understand how to balance people, customers, operations, and financial performance. Whether your background is within specialist contracting, facilities management, engineering services, construction, industrial services, infrastructure, or another transferable sector, you'll have a proven record of delivering sustainable EBITDA growth while creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
