Job Description

Digital Lab Platforms - ELN Lead

As a member of the Digital Lab Platform and Products team, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, governance, and investment priorities for Takeda’s electronic laboratory notebook ecosystem across quality control laboratories. This role exists to establish standardized, scalable, secure, compliant, and supportable electronic laboratory notebook capabilities across sites and regions. You will provide strategic technical direction for complex, multi-component initiatives and help align laboratory technology with Takeda’s digital and laboratory strategies. Through strong collaboration with global digital technology, quality control, laboratory, business, quality, validation, security, and service-management teams, you will enable connected laboratory operations and measurable improvements in efficiency, data integrity, user experience, and operational visibility. You will also strengthen adoption, knowledge management, governance, and continuous improvement to deliver sustainable value.

How You Will Contribute

  • Lead ELN deployment and support across Takeda sites and regions.
  • Manage cross-functional, multi-project teams delivering scalable and compliant solutions.
  • Oversee solution delivery across architecture, configuration, integration, testing, validation, implementation, and lifecycle support.
  • Govern vendor-delivered solutions to ensure quality, compliance, performance, and alignment with Takeda standards.
  • Drive program execution by managing priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, deliverables, and business outcomes.
  • Build team capability through resource planning, coaching, knowledge sharing, and effective delegation.
  • Partner with stakeholders and vendors to support alignment, adoption, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage project finances including planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, life sciences, engineering, business, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least five years of experience implementing, supporting, or managing laboratory informatics systems, including electronic laboratory notebooks, laboratory information management systems, laboratory instruments, and related integrations.
  • Experience deploying and standardizing electronic laboratory notebook solutions across multiple sites or regions.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations, quality control processes, data flows, system integration, data integrity, and regulated environments.
  • Experience with system architecture, configuration, customization, integration, testing, validation, release management, and lifecycle support.
  • Experience leading medium- to large-scale, cross-functional, multi-regional projects from requirements definition through implementation and support.
  • Experience managing outsourced support providers or vendor-delivered solutions.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$137,000.00 - $215,270.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
