The Opportunity:
Design, develop, integrate, and maintain complex software and system solutions supporting Department of Defense intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyber systems. As a Software System Integrator III, you will:
Design and integrate software, firmware, and computing systems solutions with hardware and specialized engineering components across multi-disciplinary systems
Develop and integrate mission capabilities for next-generation intelligence and Electronic Warfare (EW) platforms
Apply software standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system lifecycle to support multi-disciplinary solutions
Interface with cross-functional engineering teams, government stakeholders, and industry partners on system integration efforts
Solve complex integration problems and recommend enhancements to software and system architecture
Provide technical leadership in delivering integration, engineering, and operational support services
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support software and firmware components integrated with non-IT engineering systems including hardware, communications, cyber, electrical, or other specialized engineering domains
Design and document hardware/software interfaces between system components to ensure seamless integration
Develop and integrate solutions requiring aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge
Implement distributed and asynchronous programming models to support complex, multi-disciplinary system integration
Support integration and test events including development, operational, and acceptance testing
Apply CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automated deployment practices to streamline software integration
Develop and maintain technical documentation including system integration plans, interface control documents, and integration test procedures
Apply system security and information assurance processes to ensure compliance with government requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve complex, multi-layer integration issues across software, hardware, and network components
Support the integration of simulations, tactical displays, sensors, and electro-mechanical systems into unified operational capabilities
Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel throughout the integration lifecycle
Coach and mentor junior engineers on integration best practices and troubleshooting techniques
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Secret security clearance
Master's degree in Engineering or Mathematics
10+ years of professional experience in software engineering and/or systems integration
Strong understanding of software design concepts, patterns, tools, and integration best practices
Demonstrated experience integrating software with hardware, communications, or other specialized engineering domains
Experience with distributed and asynchronous programming models
Experience designing and documenting hardware/software interfaces between complex system components
Strong understanding of system security and information assurance processes for government compliance
Proven track record of providing technical leadership in architecture, engineering, and integration services
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to resolve complex, multi-layer technical issues
Strong communication skills with ability to interface effectively with customers, suppliers, and technical teams
Desired:
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Experience with CMOSS/MORA interface standards and VPX architectures
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
Experience with DevSecOps pipeline tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, and/or Foreman
Experience with Web Technologies such as Angular, JavaScript/React, HTML5, and CSS
Experience with database programming and integration
Experience in service-based development and microservice architectures
Working knowledge of signal processing fundamentals for SIGINT/EW applications
Experience developing and integrating Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications
Java development experience
Willingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given application or service
Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and system authorization processes
Experience supporting government intelligence or defense program offices

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
