Maintenance Tech I

Mueller’s manufacturing commitment ensures one of the world’s most precious resources, clean drinking water, reaches millions of people daily. Come be a part of something that sustains and enriches the lives of every human being.  AsaMaintenance Technician I, youwillbe responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and repairing equipment to minimize downtime andmaintain safety standards. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Troubleshoot andmaintain relay logic circuits, starters, motors, electrical metering devices, and electrical measuringdevices 

  • Fabricates and installs metallic and non-metallic conduit, buss duct, and wireraceway 

  • Design and build various controlpanels 

  • Drawschematics 

  • Lubricates electricalmotors 

  • Use multi-meters, leggers, amp probes, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other electrical/electronic test equipment in the performance of theirduties 

  • Troubleshoot and repair various electronic components asneeded 

  • Repair circuit boards and electronic components asneeded 

  • Troubleshoot and repair programmable controllers, NC, CNC, radio-controlled devised and DNC machine tools andequipment 

  • Contain and clean upjobsites 

  • Adapt new methods and procedures asrequired 

  • Assist other skilled classifications asneeded 

    • Perform predictive maintenancechecks 

    • Operate production and non-production equipment and machine tools asrequired in the performance of theirduties 

    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, andadjustments 

    • Participate inadditional training related towork 

    • Operate material handling equipment, cranes, hoists, and man lifts, as instructed in the Plant Safety Rules and according to OSHAstandards 

    • Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderlymanner 

    • Perform all duties with the highest standard of productivity andquality 

    • Meet allstandards for safety, production, andquality  

    • Other assigned duties 

    Required Skills: 

    • Ability to work with yourhands  

    • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)  

    • Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds, and up to 50pounds  

    • Basic computer skills 

    • Basic reading, writing, arithmetic (shop math), and comprehensive skills 

    • Provenproficiency usingshop tools(grinders, plasma cutters,etc) 

    • Production knowledge, mathematical skills,problem-solving skills, observational skills, communication skills, analytical skills 

    • Basic mechanical skills  

    • Use of computer system software 

    • Teamwork orientation 

    • Self-motivated 

    • Professional attitude 

    Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):  

      

    • Safety Glasses 

    • Hearing Protection where applicable 

    • Protective Clothing   

    • Electrostatic Dissipative (ESD)Steel Toe Shoes 

     

    Required Education/Experience: 

    • 2+ years of manufacturing experience 

    • High School Diploma or GED 

     

    Preferred: 

    • Forkliftexperience 

    • Electrical experience 

    • Multicraft experience 

    • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 

     

    Work is scheduled Monday through Saturday. Shifts are 8 hours with multiple shifts.  Employees MUST be flexible and maybe required to change shifts.
