KeyResponsibilities

Underwriting&RiskEvaluation

• Assessandunderwritecargoandoceanmarinerisksinaccordancewithcompanyguidelines,authoritylevels,andprofitabilitytargets.

• Analyzesubmissionsincludingvesseldetails,cargotype,routing,losshistory,andinsuredoperations.

• Determineappropriatepricing,terms,andconditionsbasedonriskqualityandmarketdynamics.

• Structuretailoredinsurancesolutionsforcomplexorspecializedmarineexposures.

Portfolio&BusinessManagement

• Manageabookofcargo/oceanmarinebusinesswithafocusonsustainableprofitabilityanddisciplinedgrowth.

• Monitoraccountperformance,losstrends,andmarketconditionstoadjustunderwritingstrategies.

• Collaboratewithactuarial,claims,andriskengineeringteamstorefineunderwritingapproachesandimproveresults.

Broker&ClientEngagement

• Developandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithbrokers,agents,andkeyclients.

• Provideresponsive,knowledgeableservicetodistributionpartnerstosupportnewbusinessandrenewals.

• Representthecompanyinmarketmeetings,industryevents,andclientpresentations.

Compliance&Documentation

• Ensureunderwritingfilesarecomplete,accurate,andcompliantwithinternalstandardsandregulatoryrequirements.

• Maintaincleardocumentationofunderwritingrationale,pricingdecisions,andcoveragestructures.

Market&IndustryInsight

• Staycurrentonglobaltradepatterns,supplychainissues,vesselsafetystandards,andmarineinsurancetrends.

• Contributetoproductdevelopment,appetiterefinement,andstrategicinitiativeswithinthemarinesegment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’sdegreeinbusiness,finance,riskmanagement,orrelatedfield.

• Experience underwritingcargo,oceanmarine,orrelatedcommercialP&Clines.

• Stronganalyticalskillswiththeabilitytoassesscomplexrisksandmakesounddecisions.

• Excellentcommunicationandnegotiationabilities.

• Abilitytobuildandmaintainproductivebrokerrelationships.

• Proficiencywithunderwritingsystems,ratingtools,andMicrosoftOfficeapplications.

• ProfessionaldesignationssuchasCPCU,AMIM,orARM.

• Knowledgeofinternationaltrade,logistics,andmaritimeoperations.

Salary:he base pay range is $110,000.00 - 150,000.00. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
