This is a remote position that may need to travel within North Carolina
Required Skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and reporting.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and identify data discrepancies.
Experience with data entry, data auditing, and data integrity practices.
Knowledge of HR concepts, including employment status classifications, FTE management, position management, and organizational structures.
Experience maintaining position control data, position records, job descriptions, and job profiles.
Knowledge of compensation administration, including salary benchmarking, pay range structures, job evaluations, market pricing, and compensation analysis.
Ability to analyze workforce, position, and compensation data and prepare reports for leadership.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Proficiency with HRIS, ERP, or workforce management systems.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Workday Position Management and/or Position Control.

Job Description Summary:
Detail-oriented HRIS and workforce operations professional responsible for managing position control, compensation administration, and employee data integrity within Workday HCM. Serves as a key partner to HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and operational leadership to ensure accurate position management, compliant compensation practices, and reliable workforce data that supports organizational planning and decision-making.This role oversees the full lifecycle of position control, including creation, modification, movement, and inactivation of positions aligned to approved staffing plans and budget authority. Administers compensation transactions such as salary changes, bonuses, and compensation adjustments, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to internal pay structures and approval workflows. Maintains and audits employee records, job requisitions, and job descriptions to ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment across HR systems and organizational structure.
Additionally, this position supports Talent Acquisition through requisition creation and maintenance, processes employee lifecycle transactions in Workday Core HCM, and conducts regular audits of HR data for accuracy and compliance. Provides reporting, data validation, and administrative support for HR operations while contributing to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and special projects supporting HRIS and Workforce Strategy leadership.

What You'll Do:
Manage end-to-end position control in Workday, including creation, modification, movement, and inactivation of positions in alignment with approved workforce plans and budget authority
Partner with field leadership, HR, and Talent Acquisition to ensure accurate position setup, maintenance, and alignment to organizational structure and staffing needs
Review, validate, and process Position Control Forms and Personnel Action Forms for accuracy, completeness, and required approvals
Maintain integrity of position hierarchy, supervisory organizations, job profiles, and reporting relationships within Workday
Advise leaders on position actions (creation, reclassification, movement, deletion) to support workforce planning and organizational design
Administer compensation transactions including salary changes, equity adjustments, bonuses, and compensation proposals in accordance with internal guidelines and approval processes
Ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation actions to meet payroll deadlines and maintain compliance with pay structures and ranges
Maintain and audit compensation data within Workday to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational policies
Support compensation cycles by preparing, validating, and maintaining compensation-related data and records
Create, maintain, and update job requisitions in Workday in partnership with Talent Acquisition, ensuring alignment with approved positions and job profiles
Ensure requisitions include accurate job profiles, qualifications, compensation details, recruiter assignments, and candidate requirements
Maintain and update job descriptions including duties, qualifications, training requirements, compliance codes, and compensation alignment
Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday Core HCM including hires, job changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations
Conduct regular audits of employee records, job requisitions, and personnel data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity
Validate Employee Change Forms against Workday records, requisitions, and policy guidelines prior to processing
Assist with audits of personnel and training files to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Support development and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and workflow documentation related to HRIS, position control, and compensation administration
Provide high-volume HR data entry, reporting, and administrative support to HR, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and HRIS teams
Serve as key liaison across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and leadership to resolve position, compensation, and data issues
Support Vice President of Compensation & Workforce Strategy with special projects, system enhancements, audits, and process improvement initiatives
