The Dining Server will provide excellent customer service to our residents.Ā Take resident orders, serving meals, providing assistance, and creating a pleasant dining experience for the resident.Ā
Schedules:
- Salary Range:Ā $17:00- 18:00 Hourly
- Part-time:Ā weekends and evenings
Responsibilities and DutiesĀ
- Assist the Dining Room Manager with special projects as assignedĀ
- Take residentsā dining orders in a friendly and attentive dispositionĀ
- Learn and retain residentsā names, special requests, and dietary restrictionsĀ
- Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)Ā
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directedĀ
- Ensure safe food handlingĀ
- Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for serviceĀ
- Assist residents with any special dining requestsĀ Ā
- Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendanceĀ
- Assist with special eventsĀ
- Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
- Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and proceduresĀ
- Other duties as assigned includingĀ assisting staff, creating schedules, organizing side work, andĀ guest relations.Ā
- High school diploma preferred/GED accepted
- Minimum of two yearsā experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior livingĀ
- Ability to handle multiple prioritiesĀ
- Competent in organizational, time management skillsĀ
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skillsĀ
- Experience working with seniorsĀ
Physical AbilitiesĀ
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.Ā Ā
- An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.Ā
