Senior React Native Mobile Engineer

Role Summary

We’re looking for aSenior React Native Mobile Engineer to own the modernization and ongoing development of a suite of production mobile applications. You’ll lead the migration of legacy applications toReact Native, taking features from requirements through deployment to both theApple App Store and Google Play.

This is a hands-on,AI-first engineering role. You’ll use tools such asClaude Code, Cursor, AI agents, and MCP throughout development while owning the quality, architecture, release process, and production support of the applications.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship productionReact Native / TypeScript applications for iOS and Android.
• Lead the modernization of legacy mobile applications to React Native.
• Buildoffline-first functionality, including local storage, background sync, and conflict handling.
• Integrate mobile capabilities includingcamera, GPS, barcode scanning, and push notifications.
• UseClaude Code, Cursor, agents, and MCP to accelerate requirements analysis, development, testing, and modernization.
• Own mobileCI/CD and release management, including code signing, automated builds, TestFlight, Google Play releases, crash reporting, and store compliance.
• Integrate applications withREST APIs and OAuth/OIDC authentication.
• Build component and end-to-end automated tests.
• Troubleshoot and support applications in production.
• Establish reusable mobile development patterns and share knowledge across the engineering team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including3+ years shipping production mobile apps to both iOS and Android.
• StrongReact Native + TypeScript development experience.
• Proven experience buildingoffline-first mobile applications with local storage, background sync, and conflict resolution.
• Hands-on experience withClaude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding agents in a professional development environment.
• Strong mobileCI/CD and App Store/Google Play release management experience.
• Experience integrating mobile applications withREST APIs and OAuth/OIDC.
• Experience with automatedcomponent and end-to-end mobile testing.
• Ability to independently own a mobile product/application from development through production support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Swift or Kotlin/native mobile development.
• Java, Flutter, .NET MAUI, or legacy cross-platform mobile frameworks.
• MCP or agentic AI development experience.
• Experience with field-service, utility, inspection, or other offline-heavy mobile applications.
• Experience with rugged/managed devices or MDM.
• Mobile accessibility/WCAG experience.
