Documentary Editor / Storytelling Editor

We are looking for an experienced editor to join the post-production team for an ongoing documentary series following large-scale real estate, construction and lifestyle projects in Dubai.

This is not a social media editing position. We are looking for someone who understands narrative documentary storytelling, pacing, structure and long-form editing. Fluency in Russian is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Documentary episodes
  • Construction and architectural storytelling
  • Behind-the-scenes observational content
  • Lifestyle and business narratives
  • Long-form YouTube documentary edits
  • Strong experience inDaVinci Resolve
  • Understanding ofdocumentary storytelling and three-act structure
  • Ability to build narrative from raw observational footage
  • Experience working with interviews, documentary scenes and voice over
  • Understanding of pacing, emotional rhythm and scene construction
  • Experience working with proxy workflows and remote collaboration
  • Russian language proficiency (spoken and understood fluently)
  • English is mandatory ā€” many interviews, meetings and storylines are in English
  • Ability to work under deadlines and long-form episodic workflows

Technical Requirements

Candidate must have a powerful editing workstation capable of handling large-scale documentary projects efficiently. Preferred setup:

  • RTX 3060 / 3070 / 4070 level GPU or equivalent
  • Fast multi-core CPU
  • Stable high-speed internet connection
  • Personal NAS / server with minimum 8TB of free space required for proxy workflow
  • Ability to render and export long-form 4K projects efficiently

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cinematic documentary editing
  • Experience with multicam and large project organization
  • Experience with sound design and music-driven editing
  • Experience collaborating with directors and story producers
