Merge medical imaging solutions, offered by Merative, combine intelligent, scalable imaging workflow tools with deep and broad expertise to help healthcare organizations improve their confidence in patient outcomes and optimize care delivery.
Working under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test plans and verification procedures for the Merge Universal Viewer platform. The role is responsible for testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web-based medical imaging applications.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain automated test cases and testprotocols.

  • Define and own the test strategy for the Merge Universal Viewer productarea.

  • Verify software functionality against functional requirements, user requirements, and designspecifications.

  • Test web-based applications and imagingworkflows.

  • Assist in testing systems, modules, integrations, andprototypes.

  • Perform installations, configurations, and execution of verificationprocedures.

  • Conduct ongoing regression, integration, and end-to-endtesting.

  • Work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolveissues.

  • Report and track defects using approved defect trackingtools.

  • Drive improvements to automation frameworks, test coverage, and testingprocesses.

  • Maintain test environments and test data asrequired.

CoreCompetencies

  • Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurancemethodologies.

  • Strong understanding of automated testing principles andpractices.

  • Ability to define test strategies and risk-based testingapproaches.

  • Ability to estimate testing effort and identify qualityrisks.

  • Experience with Agile softwaredevelopment.

  • Ability to work independently on large, complexsystems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to productquality.

TechnicalSkills

  • Experience testing medical imagingapplications.

  • Familiarity with DICOM standards andworkflows.

  • Familiarity with PACS systems and radiologyworkflows.

  • Knowledge of MPR, MIP, and Volume Renderingconcepts.

  • Experience testing web-basedapplications.

  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, TestComplete, or JMeter.

  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linuxenvironments.

  • Experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.

QualificationsRequired

Education:Undergraduate degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance; experience developing and maintaining automated tests; experience testing web applications; experience with medical imaging software, PACS, or healthcare applications preferred.

Compensation


The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

Min – Max :

$91,464.00 - $137,196.00 (CAD)
