About the role

AGL’s Energy Hubs teamhave an exciting opportunity for aStrategic Planner. 

With the flexibility to be based in any of AGL’s offices/sites across QLD, NSW, Vic or SA,you will lead the strategic planning work program for AGL’s Energy Hubs program, developing and implementing whole-of-site planning frameworks that support future industries, infrastructure and commercial opportunities.  

What you’ll do:

• Lead the whole of site structure plan for the Hunter Energy Hub

• Manage land-use assessments, rezoning, precinct planning, site access and infrastructure corridor planning

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, external consultants and planning applications

• Assess potential tenant and development opportunities in partnership with AGL’s Strategy, Commercial and Delivery teams

• Build trusted relationships with government, regulators, internal leaders and site-based teams

• Monitor regulatory reform, planning system changes and emerging industry trends

What you’ll bring: 

• Tertiary qualification in town planning, environmental planning, environmental science, law or related discipline

• Substantial experience leading land-use strategies, master planning, structure planning and rezoning applications

• Project management, analytical and organisational capability 

• Commercial acumen and the ability to assess complex land-use and development opportunities

• Confidence working with a variety of stakeholders
