Mechatronics Engineer

Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer for their New York, NY location.
 
Responsibilities:

• CAD and hardware design
• Electronics, sensors, and data sampling.
• Light data analysis / python coding skills
• Independent problem solving, taking initiative
• Support various ongoing projects that require hardware for in-lab data collection, including the construction, installation, and maintenance of EMG devices.
• As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will play a critical role in hardware construction, installation, testing, and providing in-lab support. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure the success of our client's projects.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechatronics engineering.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Mechatronics related fields.
• Strong knowledge of hardware construction, installation, data collection, data analysis, debugging, and testing.
• Experience with scripting languages, with a preference for Python.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and foster effective cooperation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Independent problem solving, taking initiative
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and programming languages (C, C++ preferred).
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and Python.
