Overview Seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer with 5–10 years of technical experience to support gas turbine auxiliary mechanical systems. This position focuses on developing technical specifications, reviewing supplier designs, troubleshooting manufacturing and field issues, and coordinating engineering activities throughout project execution. Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant technical engineering experience.
- Detailed knowledge of gas turbine auxiliary mechanical systems, including air intake, acoustic enclosures, ventilation and fire protection.
- Experience preparing technical specifications and reviewing engineering designs.
- Experience evaluating supplier proposals, conducting technical negotiations and assessing risks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional engineering activities with domestic and international teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
- Develop technical specifications and engineering requirements in accordance with Company Energy design standards.
- Evaluate supplier bids, clarify technical requirements, conduct technical negotiations and support supplier selection.
- Provide engineering support for air intake systems, air-cooled heat exchangers, noise enclosures and fire protection systems.
- Review internal and external engineering designs and technical documentation.
- Support procurement with technical evaluations and supplier-related issues.
- Coordinate with lead engineers, customers, suppliers, procurement, project management and other engineering departments.
- Ensure supplier designs meet technical specifications, customer requirements and system interface requirements.
- Attend manufacturing shop inspections and provide field support during installation, commissioning and warranty periods.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues and develop technical solutions.
- Provide technical support to the bid management team during proposal development.
- Previous experience with gas turbine auxiliary systems and power generation equipment.
- Experience with supplier technical evaluations and commercial selection support.
- Familiarity with manufacturing inspections, field installation and commissioning.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and multidisciplinary projects.
