
S-STEM Peer Mentor
Preferred Availability:
10 hours per week.
Each Mentor will work with their mentee in the fall and spring semesters to provide advice, support, and knowledge to the mentee as assigned by project staff. Mentors should be available to their mentee the full 10 hours each week, this may be face-to-face, via email or via call/text. Although face-to-face is preferred. Mentors will also be required to attend mentor training with other peer mentors working in the S3C. There will be a half-day training session prior to the beginning of the fall semester (or Spring as needed) with additional 1-hour meetings scheduled bi-weekly throughout the academic year. This is a two-year position, and a successful applicant will have aSTEMÂ major matched to their mentee.
