Field Operations Lead

Hiring Unit:
Department of Natural Resource Sciences

Position Summary:
- Leading professional climbing at Ivujivik field site

- Ensuring safety of team while climbing

- Training team on climbing protocols

- Contributing to research on thick-billed murres

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Driver’s license is required.

High School Diploma required.
- Professional climbing experience

- Experience working with seabirds

- Experience with remote fieldwork in the Arctic

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # 3 on a scale of0-4.
