Location: Onsite San Antonio, TX 78221
Contract: 12 Months
Job Summary: 5:30am - 4pm Monday-Thursday
Running exception reports and communicating with the supply base on potential part issues. There are opportunities to communicate, and problem solve with cross functional teams including other supply chain team members, production, quality, engineering, customer response center, third party logistics and procurement. Communication may be direct with supply base and/or through corporate conference calls. Material planners are responsible for material inventory levels as it moves through the production cycle.
Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle
- Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules
- Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
- Develops specifications for new contract orders
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and
- parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems
Bachelor's degree OR At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
