Job Title:Materials Handler
Location: Pomona, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $20.00–$20.12/hour
Shift: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Overtime: As needed
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedMaterials Handler to support material movement, inventory management, and warehouse operations at a manufacturing facility.
The Materials Handler will be responsible for loading, unloading, organizing, and transporting materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and following established shipping, receiving, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and organize crates, boxes, raw materials, and other materials within the facility.
- Transport materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, electric dollies, wheelbarrows, and other material-handling equipment.
- Read and follow work orders, written instructions, and verbal directions.
- Use hand tools to safely open containers.
- Maintain accurate manufacturing inventory records.
- Perform inventory receiving, acceptance sampling, and restocking activities.
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, organized, and stored.
- Verify and maintain material inventory and sample request forms.
- Follow shipping and receiving procedures.
- Enter and maintain inventory information using computer and ERP systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience inmaterials handling, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory management.
- Experience using apallet jack and familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Good computer skills.
- Experience working with anERP system or similar inventory-management system.
- Ability to accurately maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Willingness to learn new processes and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
