Duration: 6 months (long-term position, extension possible)
Location: Pomona, CA 91767
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.26/hr
Classification: Non-Exempt (hours over 40 paid at time and a half; overtime as needed)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Materials Handler for a Shipping & Receiving role in Pomona, CA. The selected candidate will maintain manufacturing inventory, keep accurate records, and support day-to-day material movement. This position involves no heavy lifting. The candidate will start as soon as screenings are cleared, and the need is immediate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move materials (crates, boxes, and raw materials) within or near the plant, yard, or work site
• Read and follow work orders and/or verbal instructions
• Use hand tools to open containers
• Transport materials using a hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other devices
• Use a pallet jack and follow shipping procedures
• Maintain manufacturing inventory and keep accurate inventory records
• Perform restocking and inventory acceptance sampling
• Perform cycle counts and ensure inventory is clearly labeled
• Verify and maintain material inventory and sample request forms

Required Qualifications:

• Previous material handling experience
• Prior experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or inventory/warehouse work (pallet jack usage, shipping procedures, etc.)
• Good computer skills, with experience in ERP or similar systems
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks, both as a team member and as an individual contributor
• Good attendance record and willingness to learn
