Master Planner – Army Installation Planning
Location: Huntsville, Alabama, Redstone Arsenal
Work Arrangement: Full Time, Onsite
Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually
Travel: Minimal, anticipated at 0–10%, up to 20%

Colorado Network Staffing (CNS) is seeking an experiencedMaster Planner to support an HDR project team providing enterprise, installation, and infrastructure planning support to Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters and the Organic Industrial Base (OIB).

We are looking for an experienced military or federal planner who understands the relationship between installation planning, infrastructure requirements, real property, facility investment, and long range Army mission requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Support enterprise master planning, installation planning, and infrastructure planning activities across AMC and the Organic Industrial Base.
• Integrate information from RPLANS, ASIP, HQIIS, ISR, GIS, Facility Investment Planning (AFIP/FIP), and related systems to support planning and investment decisions.
• Lead planning assessments, visioning efforts, planning charrettes, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
• Develop planning studies, executive briefings, and decision support products addressing infrastructure requirements, investment priorities, and long range planning objectives.
• Work with Army stakeholders, installation personnel, engineers, architects, GIS professionals, and other subject matter experts.
• Evaluate emerging planning methods, infrastructure modernization initiatives, and innovative facility delivery approaches.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Architecture, Geography, Military Planning, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience supporting military planning, installation planning, infrastructure planning, asset management, or related federal planning programs.
• Experience with Army planning systems such as RPLANS, ASIP, HQIIS, ISR, GIS, or similar platforms.
• Experience facilitating planning meetings, charrettes, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
• Strong analytical, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Active Secret clearance preferred. Candidates who have held a Secret clearance within the past two years or are able to obtain a Secret clearance may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE, AICP, RA, RLA, GISP, or similar professional credential.
• Experience supporting AMC, Army Futures Command, IMCOM, HQDA, or other Army planning organizations.
• Experience with Facility Investment Planning (AFIP/FIP), infrastructure investment planning, or capital investment strategies.
• Experience developing planning analytics, dashboards, executive briefings, or other decision support products.
• Previous Army or DoD installation planning experience.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position in Huntsville, Alabama. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays. Situational telework may be available for extreme weather events or base closures.
