Software Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As aSoftware Engineer,you are responsible for the entire software life cycle – design, development, test, release, maintenance and translates business needs into working software. The ideal candidate will contribute to building high-performance, event-driven solutions that support H&M's global retail and e-commerce platforms.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

At H&M group, you will be part of theOrder Management Team. We ensure stable, reliable and scalable fit for purpose platforms. Provide best-in-class engineering services that improves our speed to market, flexibility and scalability by providing frictionless technology with self-service capabilities and empowering product teams for delivery leveraging a foundational and standardized set of core platforms

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Azure technologies.
• Develop scalable and highly available data solutions usingAzure Cosmos DB/Mongo DB.
• Build Kafka producers and consumers for real-time data streaming.
• Optimize Cosmos DB performance through effective partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, or .NET.
• Integrate distributed applications using Kafka messaging patterns.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including Product Owners, QA, and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience withlogging, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership with team-oriented approach.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams with good communication skills.
• Experience inRetail,E-commerce, or Order Management Systems (OMS).

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people with...

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience withAzure Cosmos DB.
• Strong experience withApache Kafka and event-driven systems.
• Practical experience designing and implementingevent-driven architectures.
• Experience developing and deploying applications usingAzure Functions and/or Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience building and maintainingCI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge ofDocker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience withGit and Azure DevOps for source control, collaboration, and DevOps workflows.
