Position Summary:
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammographic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of breast diseases. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent patient care while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Review and evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to discuss findings and enhance patient care.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, including the use of protective equipment.
• Maintain patient records and imaging documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in mammography.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the imaging department.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Mammography Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification in Mammography).
• Current state licensure, or licensure within 12 months
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography preferred.
• Strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
