Magento Developer (Lead)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on development and application support for Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce.
• Manage Magento application and production support activities.
• Perform Magento version upgrades and ensure compatibility across applications and extensions.
• Manage Magento/Adobe Commerce security patches, including assessment, testing, deployment, and post-deployment validation.
• Troubleshoot custom modules, third-party extensions, and compatibility issues.
• Handle P1/P2 production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent remediation.
• Troubleshoot Magento performance issues across PHP, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, caching, indexing, cron, and queues.
• Manage release and deployment activities across staging/UAT and production environments.
• Perform rollback activities and post-release validation when required.
• Conduct code and design reviews.
• Provide technical estimations for development and support activities.
• Work directly with clients, understand technical issues, provide updates, and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure smooth application operations.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Magento development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce.
• Strong experience in Magento application and production support.
• Experience with Magento upgrades and security patching.
• Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, caching, indexing, cron, and queues.
• Experience working with custom modules and third-party extensions.
• Strong production incident management and RCA experience.
• Experience with release and deployment activities.
• Strong code review and technical estimation skills.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.
