Job Description & Summary

PwC’sCapital Markets & Accounting Advisory (“CMAA”) team within the Broader Assurance Services (“BAS”) business unit advises clients on complex accounting and financial reportingmattersrelating to moments of change such as the application of (new) IFRS/Dutch GAAP/US GAAP standards, GAAP conversions, IPOs, M&A or transformational projects.The work consists of both advising our non-audit clients as well as being a specialist to our audit teams on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.Currently we are expanding our team and are looking for experienced accounting professionals. 

This is whatyou'll do 

As aSenior Consultant, you will work as part of a diverse team of accounting and reporting specialists, helping our clientson complex accounting and financial reporting issues that occur during moments of exceptional change driven by deals and/or capital markets transactions.   

Examples of what you will do include:   

• You will proactively execute technical accounting and/or capital marketsworkat high quality for our clients. You will support, delegate and lead consultants and report toyour Managers and Senior Managersand other professionals. You will receive on the job coachingfrom your Managers and SeniorManagers;  

• You willdemonstrate an understanding of how toidentify and meet clientneeds and you will startdeveloping driving client meetings. This includes building andmaintaining client relationships, supporting the engagement manager in all aspects oftheengagementand preparing/assisting with the preparation of complex written materials and oraladvice;  

• For non-complextopics workingalmost independentlywhile receiving guidance in more complex situations.Identify potential issues or challenges and communicate status with the (Senior) Manager or engagementleader; 

• Assist the more experienced team members withassessments of accounting and reporting requirements related to capital markettransactions; 

• Researching, analyzing, and communicating the impact of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements on complex deals and transactions such as leasing, consolidations,refinancing, hedging,GAAP conversions, revenuerecognition and/or business combinations. 

You recognize yourself in this 

As a senior consultant, you will be involved in complex projects in the field of accounting and financial reporting.You are a team player with an entrepreneurial and proactive mindset and like tooperate in a dynamic work environment with motivated colleagues.You have at least3 to4 years of working experience in the following areas:  

• Applying IFRS, DutchGAAP and/or US GAAP and related financial reporting concepts and rulessuch as financial instruments,leasing,consolidation,GAAPconversions, fair value assessments, revenue recognition,structuring,and/or business combination regulations to solving clientissues.Whileyou will receiveon the job coachingfrommore experienced teammembers, we expect a solid basisofunderstandingandsubstantialexperiencein at leasttwo of theseareas; 

• Experience or an interest in financial instruments is aplus; 

• An interest incapitalmarket topicsincluding IPOs, SPAC mergers, carve-outs and spin-offs, private placements, and/or debtofferings;  

• You have a strong interest in applying technology andtooling in your day-to-daywork; 

• Pursuing (or completed)Dutch RA or foreignequivalent; 

• You are fluent in English (both written and spoken),proficiency in the Dutch language is a plus (both written and spoken).
