What you bring to SBHG:
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
- Personal experience as a consumer in the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems.
License or Certification
- Peer Support Specialist Certification: successful completion of the certification process within one year of employment
- A valid California Driver’s License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria.
How you will make a difference:
Provides community-based support services to clients and families, including mentoring, advocacy, skill development, and resource linkage. Collaborates with treatment team members, helps clients navigate behavioral health and community services, assists with communication and service coordination, and documents services in accordance with peer support scope of practice.Division/ProgramOverview:Â Â
Population Served (Capacity):Â Serves clients (ages 16-24)
Facility & Setting:Â Outpatient community-based services and support. Delivers client services throughout Fresno County within designated county limits. May be required to transport clients/client family members utilizing personal vehicle.
Clinical Services (Core):Â Individual and family Counseling.
Skills & Services:Â Medication management, Housing, Education, and Vocational Support services.
Role specific Benefits & Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursement included at a rate of $0.85 per mile and Monthly stipend included (Cell phone / Internet)
