POSITION SUMMARY:Â
The Internal Audit Lead Iis responsible for, but not limited to planning and conducting assigned internal auditactivities across theRenaissanceRe Group.This roleassists with internal audit activities across the Company’s offices including Bermuda, the U.K., the U.S.,Switzerland,andIreland,and our respective branch offices across the globe.Â

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Â
Assist with the completion of the annual internal audit plan, including various internal audit engagements across theRenaissanceRe Groupparticipating in the planning process, coordinating information gathering, researching applicable operational and regulatory requirements for the relevantengagement and drafting the audit report, as assigned.Â
Provide value-added process improvement recommendations to business units/functions.Â
Develop an understanding of the regulatory regime and framework applicable to therelevantplatform andprovide input totheinternal audit engagements assigned, as applicable, based on this knowledge.Â
Conduct internal controls testing to support compliance with Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley.Â
Effectively interact with external auditors andthird-party internal audit service providers, as applicable.Â
Assist with monitoring and reporting progress on the implementation of management action plans.Â
Assist with ad-hoc internal audit projects andprovide support to the Global Audit team as needed.Â

EXPECTED COMPETENCIES:Â
ABachelor’s degree, in Accounting or Finance preferred. 
An accounting designation desirable (CA, ACCA, CPA or ACA) or currently pursuing an accounting designation
CIA preferred or currently pursuing the CIA designation.Â
At least 2 to 5 years ofrelevant priorexperience, either in the (re)insurance/financial services industry or as part of a professional services firm.Â
Desirable is a good understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, as well as other relevant regulatory and compliance requirements such as BMA Solvency and Capital Requirements, Solvency II, Lloyd’s Principles, NAIC statutory reporting requirements, SEC reporting requirements, etc. Â
A strong understanding of internal controls andprevious Sarbanes-Oxley testing experience desired, preferably within the (re)insurance/financial services industry. Â
Strong written skills andexperience in writingrisk-based audit plans and audit reportsadvantageous.Â
An ability to work effectivelyonmoderately complex assignmentswhilstmaintaining a highly professionaldemeanour.Â
