Job Description

Conduct new design or revision of PCBA of the opticaltransceiver from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Drive board design phasesincluding product spec.review, architecture design, component selection,schematics drawing, BOM, board layout, board bring-up, verification testing, EMC pre-compliance testing, etc.
• Coordinate optical subassembly, mechanical, and PCB layout engineers to optimize transceiver design.
• Support comprehensive design reviews and documentation.
• Interact with program manager, buyer/planner, suppliers to make sure designed parts are available in timely manner for build.
• Lead the integration of hardware, firmware and optics, debug and troubleshooting of optical transceiver.
• Support of resolving all DFM issues from engineering and factory feedback.
• Sometimes travel on business to support the module production line.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree inelectrical engineering, telecom engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years ofworking experience as an electrical or hardware engineer in the optical transceiver industry.
• Strong analog circuit design skills required.
• Good knowledge of power supply designs, hands on measurement experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skill required.
• Experience with high density multiple-layer board design cycle.
• Good knowledge of PCB fab and assembly processes.
• Expertise in RF design using modeling tools such as ADS or HFSS is a plus.
• Understanding of microprocessors and real time controlfirmware is a plus.
