Prototype Technician

Responsibilities:

• Build and assemble prototype products, tools, fixtures, and test samples according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Operate and maintain prototype fabrication equipment, hand tools, and testing instruments.
• Perform prototype testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Record test results, observations, and technical data accurately.
• Assist engineers in evaluating prototype performance and identifying design improvements.
• Modify prototypes based on engineering feedback and design changes.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical assembly processes.
• Experience using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Knowledge of prototype fabrication methods, including machining, 3D printing, and fixture building, is preferred.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and product development processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with CAD software and data collection systems is a plus.
