Senior SAP Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and hands-onSenior SAP Data Engineer to join our data and analytics team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging enterprise SAP data with modern cloud data architecture. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrate and transform SAP and non-SAP sources, and build high-quality, reusable, and governed Data Products to drive both analytical and operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable, reliable, and high-performance batch and streaming data pipelines
• Seamlessly integrate, harmonize, and transform data from diverse enterprise sources (including SAP ERP/S4HANA and external applications) using modern tooling
• Architect and deliver reusable, domain-oriented, governed Data Products tailored for analytical reporting, machine learning, and operational workflows
• Leverage SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and Apache Spark to process large-scale datasets efficiently within a modern cloud ecosystem
• Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure compliance, data quality, and security; implement metadata management and data lineage integrations
• Work closely with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to define data modeling standards, automate CI/CD data workflows, and foster best practices in data engineering

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or large-scale data integration
• Proven implementation experience with SAP Datasphere & SAP Business Data Cloud
• Skills in Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) for distributed data processing and transformation
• Strong understanding of data product thinking, domain-driven design, dimensional modeling, and modern data architecture (Data Mesh / Data Fabric)
• Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python or Java for data pipeline development
• Confident English communication skills (B2 level or higher) for engaging with international stakeholders and leadership

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Collibra for data governance and cataloging
• Experience with Document Management Systems (DMS) integration
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in an agile, cross-functional global environment
