Senior Data Engineer (Python, AWS)

We are looking for aSenior Data Engineer (Python, AWS) to support the design, development, and enhancement of our client’s enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data engineer with strong experience building data pipelines, integrating data from operational databases, and working with modern cloud data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python-based ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation
• Design and develop data pipelines
• Develop scalable and performant data models
• Implement and maintain Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data models to support analytics and downstream applications
• Collaborate with application developers, business users, and data consumers to understand data requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
• Strong Python programming skills with experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Solid SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure
• Experience integrating data from OLTP databases, including PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) or similar layered data lake/lakehouse models
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD for data engineering workflows
