About the Team

• Flex PODs will enable portfolios to leverage additional capacity to solvecritical and prioritized problems.
• These teams, consisting ofrestless problem-solvers, are optimal for strategic initiatives where deep domain expertise is not necessary.
• They will build solutions and transfer the solution to the owning function foroperation, maintenance, and enhancements.

I. Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to:

• Translatebusiness requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs.
• Delivercode modules, stable application systems, and software solutions.
• Develop, configure, or modifyintegrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments.
• Work closely withstakeholders and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals.

II. Roles & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• BuildFull stack applications services using technologies and languages including but not limited to:JavaSpringbootReactPostgreSQL or any Relational databaseElastic or any NoSQL databaseKafka
• Deploy the applications toLowe’s hosted data centers or the cloud using technologies and languages including but not limited to:DockerKubernetesGoogle Cloud Platform
• Define architecture forhighly scalable and reliable enterprise systems.
• Performance tuning and optimizing applications, for faster response times.
• Support the applications using data using technologies and languages including but not limited to:GrafanaKibana

III. Years of Experience

• 2+ years' experience in software development or a related field.
• Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

IV. Education Qualification & Certifications (Optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field).
• 2 years of experience in software development or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in database technologies.
• 1 year of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC).

V. Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• 2+ years of experience with J2EE, REST APIs, React, Springboot.
• 2 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
• 2 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software.
• 2 years of experience with technical documentation in a software development environment.
• 2 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
• 2 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports.
• Experience withapplication and integration middleware.
• Experience withdatabase technologies.
• Strong technical aptitude –Java/J2EE, Springboot and other open-source technologies.
• Knowledge ofSQL/NoSql databases such as Elastic, Postgres etc.
• Working knowledge of frameworks like –Spring, ReactJS, JUnit.
• Experience withCI/CD such as: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with collaborative planning and defect tracking throughBitBucket/GitHub.
• Working knowledge of tools for monitoring and alerting such asKibana, Grafana etc.
• Familiar withagile development lifecycle and worked on the design/development of at least3-4 projects.
• Goodverbal, written and presentation skills.
• Effectively organizes and executes ademanding workload.
• Ability to handlehigh pressure situations and come up with quick stop-gap arrangements for reducing business impact.
• Strongtechnical and problem-solving abilities are needed.
