Financial Crime Operations (FCO) purpose is to continue to keep the bank and it's customers safe from the impacts of financial crime.FCO has the responsibility to investigate suspicious activity reports to determine whether disclosure to NCA (National Crime Agency) is necessary, complete customer relationship reviews, and to deliver high-quality intelligence and data led risk management to reduce harm to our communities.
The job holder will plan, co-ordinate, direct and control resources across an operation, to ensure achievement of the planned performance and agreed service standards are within budget costs, protecting customers and the bank from the impacts of Financial Crime.

HOURS: Full-time – 35 hours per weekÂ
WORKING PATTERN: You'll primarily work remotely in this role, giving you the flexibility to work from home. To support collaboration and connection with your colleagues, you'll need to be based within reasonable travelling distance of one of our hub locations and attend when required for business, team or customer needs.Â

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITYÂ
We’re looking for a new Senior Team Manager within our Economic Crime Prevention function! Â
As a Financial Crime Operations Senior Manager, you’ll lead across multiple teams and functions, ensuring delivery meets performance expectations while remaining aligned to regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.Â
You’ll work closely with senior business partners and leaders, operational leaders and specialist teams to drive performance, implement change and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant outcomes across the function.Â

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGÂ
In this role, you’ll:Â
Lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring delivery aligns to service standards and regulatory requirementsÂ
Oversee complex teams across core operations, operational resilience, and control functionsÂ
Drive performance across quality, cost and delivery measuresÂ
Lead, motivate, coach and develop Team Managers and their teamsÂ
Manage the operational delivery of change, acting as a key point of contact for implementationÂ
Plan and prioritise resources to meet current and future demandÂ
Manage budgets and financial performance in line with forecast targetsÂ
Ensure operations meet AML and Financial Crime regulatory obligationsÂ
Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring robust controls are in placeÂ
Use MI and QA data to identify trends, capability gaps and improvement opportunitiesÂ
Build and maintain strong relationships across the businessÂ
Support and deputise for the Head of Function in key decision-making forumsÂ
Drive a culture of engagement, continuous improvement and customer focusÂ
Support end-to-end recruitment and development of team capabilityÂ

WHAT YOU’LL NEEDÂ

Essential:Â
Approximately 4-6 years of experience leading operations within Financial Crime, Risk or a regulated environmentÂ
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through Team ManagersÂ
Demonstrated experience delivering against performance, quality and cost targetsÂ
Strong understanding of Financial Crime regulation, risk frameworks and operational controlsÂ
Experience managing change within an operational environmentÂ
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at senior levelsÂ
Ability to use data, MI and insight to influence decision-making and improve performanceÂ
Â
Desirable:Â
Experience leading large-scale or multi-team Financial Crime operationsÂ
Experience in business planning, forecasting and resource managementÂ
Exposure to governance, audit or control frameworksÂ
Experience supporting or leading transformation or continuous improvement initiativesÂ
