Technician Levels & Qualifications
 

Express Technician / Entry-Level Technician: 0-2 Years of Automotive Experience or Recent Technical School Graduate

What You'll Do

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and multi-point inspections
• Complete Honda maintenance services according to manufacturer standards
• Assist experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostics
• Identify maintenance and repair opportunities during vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

What You'll Bring

• Basic Automotive knowledge and mechanical aptitude
• Technical school education preferred
• Strong desire to learn and grow within a dealership environment
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Honda Line Technician

2-5 Years of Automotive Repair Experience

What You'll Do

• Perform bumper-to-bumper repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, and maintenance services
• Diagnose and repair drivability and basic electrical concerns
• Complete customer-pay and warranty repairs efficiently
• Utilize Honda service information systems and diagnostic equipment
• Maintain productivity and quality standards

What You'll Bring

• Previous dealership or independent repair experience

• Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience
• Honda certifications preferred but not required
• ASE certifications are a plus
• Commitment to quality repairs and customer satisfaction
• Desire to continue advancing through Honda factory training

Honda Certified Technician

5+ Years of Automotive Technician Experience

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair advanced engine, transmission, electrical, and drivability concerns

• Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs according to Honda standards
• Troubleshoot complex vehicle systems utilizing Honda diagnostic tools
• Support shop productivity and quality initiatives
• Mentor and assist developing technicians

What You'll Bring

• Advanced diagnostic and repair skills
• Honda certification(s) strongly preferred
• Experience with electrical diagnostics, engine performance, and advanced vehicle systems
• Proven productivity and quality repair history
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Honda Master Technician (Preferred)

What You'll Do

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on Honda vehicles
• Resolve challenging electrical, drivability, hybrid, and technology-related concerns
• Serve as a technical resource for technicians and advisors
• Complete repairs according to Honda warranty and repair standards
• Support technician development and shop training initiatives

What You'll Bring

• Honda Master Certification
• Expert-level diagnostic capabilities
• Experience with advanced Honda systems, hybrid technology, and electronic diagnostics
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
