ABOUT THE ROLE

For the development and continuous improvement of theInsurance Data Platform (IDP), we are looking for an experiencedAWS Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-level cloud solutions. The role focuses on developing and operating adata-intensive platform on AWS, supporting data engineering, data mesh, and MLOps capabilities. You will work in close collaboration with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to ensure a scalable, secure, and high-performing platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintaincloud infrastructure and platform services on AWS

  • Build and evolvedata platform infrastructure, including data pipelines, data mesh components, and MLOps foundations

  • Develop and manageinfrastructure as code using Terraform

  • Ensure platform scalability, security, and reliability across environments

  • Collaborate closely with theData Platform Architect and customerProduct Owners to evolve the platform

  • Work withData Engineers, supporting them with infrastructure and platform capabilities

  • Contribute to and refineAgile user stories together with the Proxy Product Owner

  • Work on a variety of topics includingDevOps, data engineering infrastructure, and ML infrastructure

  • Provide guidance onsoftware architecture and development best practices to the team and stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong hands-on experience withAWS, including networking, security, and serverless services (e.g., Lambda, Glue)

  • Proven experience building and operatingcloud platforms or data-intensive systems

  • Solid experience withTerraform for infrastructure as code

  • Strong programming skills inPython

  • Experience supporting or working withdata platforms (data pipelines, data mesh, or similar architectures)

  • Understanding ofDevOps practices, CI/CD, and automated deployments

  • Ability to work in anAgile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Good understanding ofsoftware architecture and development principles

  • Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.

    Nice to have:

  • Experience withMLOps infrastructure and machine learning platforms

  • Familiarity withdata engineering concepts and tools

  • Experience working inenterprise environments with multiple stakeholders
