We are seeking an experiencedLitigation Attorney licensed inMassachusetts with a strong background in theresidential foreclosure process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing foreclosure-related litigation, includingcase file and title review, andcourt representation. This role offers an opportunity to work within adynamic legal team that values efficiency, compliance, and client-focused representation increditors' rights and foreclosure law.
Essential Functions
- Manage cases related toforeclosure, title curative/title claims, and post-judgment litigation
- Reviewtitle issues and identify resolution strategies
- Conductlegal research anddraft pleadings, motions, opinions, and memoranda
- Represent clients incourt hearings, mediations, depositions, and other appearances
- Analyze cases, handle discovery, and developlitigation strategies
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal guidance and updates
- Maintaincase management reports and overseeparalegal coordination
- Achievemonthly billable hour requirements and review pre-bills
- Ensure compliance with allfirm and court requirements
- ActiveMassachusetts Bar Membership (in good standing)
- Strongwork ethic and willingness to collaborate as part of a team
- Proven ability tomanage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently
- Strong knowledge ofresidential foreclosure process andgeneral real estate law
- Hands-onlitigation experience, includingtitle curative/title claims andpost-judgment litigation
- Ability toreview and analyze pre- and post-judgment title issues
- Proficiency indrafting substantive pleadings, motions, and memoranda
- Excellentoral and written communication andcourtroom presentation skills
- Experience handlingFDCPA, RESPA, and TILA claims
- Prior work increditor rights
- Admission in Rhode Island or New Hampshire Bars
- Commercial real estate law experience
- Minimum3–5 years of civil litigation/trial experience
- Preference forresidential or commercial real estate,foreclosure, andcreditors' rights background
Education Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active member ingood standing with the Massachusetts Bar
