TheT&E Lead plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of Travel & Expense activities while driving continuous improvement across T&E operations. This role partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to analyze data, resolve complex issues, strengthen controls, and enhance the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives, manage escalations, drive operational excellence, and ensure the effective and continuous delivery of global Travel & Expense operations.
- Analyze and review Travel & Expense transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policy, and adherence to local regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for T&E policies, systems, and processes, providing guidance and issue resolution for employees and business partners.
- Monitor and manage BPO performance through the analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring service levels, quality standards, and operational objectives are consistently achieved.
- S/he will be responsible to perform the SOX compliance of the Concur system and ensuring that all controls are in place and followed consistently.
- Support internal and external audit activities, compliance initiatives, and process enhancement projects related to the global expense reporting process.
- Investigate and resolve complex or escalated T&E discrepancies, including employee inquiries, audit findings, and system exceptions.
- Prepare, review, and analyze T&E reports and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and responses related to T&E activities.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Compliance, HR, and Technology) to implement process enhancements and system improvements.
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures and internal controls and provide training and guidance to stakeholders to promote compliance, process standardization, and operational excellence.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Travel & Expense, accounting, finance operations, or a related analytical role, consistent with an analyst level.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data and resolve complex issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of T&E policies, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with T&E or financial systems and reporting tools.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions
Preferred:
- Experience supporting regional or global finance operations in a multinational organization.
- Prior involvement in audits, process optimization initiatives, or system implementations.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Ability to analyze trends and recommend data‑driven process enhancements.
- Experience collaborating with shared service centers or outsourced providers.
- Certifications: Relevant finance or accounting certifications are a plus but not required
