As aJunior Product Engineer, you will join ourCore Experience team and help build the features that millions of families use every day. We focus on helpingPlus (paying) families get more value from Lingokids and stay with us over time. Our work is the heart of the app: content pages and feeds, rewards, favorites, Theater, Family Time and the navigation that ties it all together.

You will ship real code to real families from your very first month, and never on your own. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and designers as part of our Product Engineering organization, around 30 people across multidisciplinary squads. We pair, we review and we mentor each other. We also build for an audience that treats broccoli as a final boss 🥦 and bedtime 🛏️ as a negotiation, so yes, we take fun pretty seriously too. This role is a great fit if you are early in your career, have solid fundamentals, like finishing what you start and want to grow fast with people who have your back.

What you’ll do

• You build and improve well-scoped features in the Lingokids app, working inReact Native andTypeScript across iOS and Android.

• You writeclean, readable code and make it even better through code review with your teammates, both giving and receiving feedback as a way to grow.

• Youask for help whenever you need it. Questions, learning out loud and the occasional stuck moment are all part of growing here.

• Treat design, product andquality as everyone's job, including yours, working closely with the whole team to make the experience smooth for kids and parents.

• Lean onAI the way we all do, to learn faster and skip the tedious parts, with your judgment always in the driver's seat.

You won't be expected to know everything on day one. Nobody does, and that is completely fine. Ask for help whenever you need it; questions, learning out loud and the occasional stuck moment are all part of growing here. What matters most is that you stay curious, take ownership of your work and grow a little every week. We will be right there with you. ✨

What you’ll bring

We think you'll do great if you have

• Hands-on experience building software with other people, whether through professional work, studies, a bootcamp, internships or personal projects.

• Solidprogramming fundamentals: clear code, the ability to read and understand others' code, and the basics of testing and version control (Git).

• Foundational knowledge ofJavaScript/TypeScript and a genuine eagerness to learn React Native and mobile development.

• Agrowth mindset: you enjoy learning, you ask questions and you take feedback as a gift.

• Care for the people who use what you build. We make products for children and families, so a little empathy goes a long way.

• Clearcommunication: you can express your ideas and ask for help in a way that's easy to follow.

Nice to have, but truly fine if not

• Anymobile experience (React Native, native iOS or Android).

• Any experience withReact.

• Any experience with feature flags, analytics or A/B testing.

• Understanding of how apps communicate with APIs.

Please do not rule yourself out if you are missing a few of these. We can teach React Native and our stack. We mostly care about strong fundamentals and a real desire to learn. 🙌

English is a must:We’re a multicultural team providing a service inEnglish, so while certifications aren’t necessary, fluency is essential. As a fully remote company, clear and effectivespoken and written communication—especially in asynchronous, long-form formats—is key to collaborating successfully.
