About Lightsprint

Collaborative product development with cloud agents

Tech description:

Lightsprint is built as one vertically integrated system: a code-aware task board, cloud coding agents, and per-task preview environments. Every task on the board is a live agent session with its own isolated environment, preview URL, and codebase context.

That architecture creates hard problems we work on daily: orchestrating long-running agent sessions that survive failures and stay resumable, spinning up fast, isolated, ephemeral environments for every task, keeping agents context-aware across large existing codebases, and streaming live previews so non-engineers can see and steer work in real time.

Job description:

### The role

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders in a fast, AI-cloud-agent workflow: talking to customers, framing product, prototyping, and shipping. You will own product design: set the bar, build the system. Lightsprint's users will feel your craft day to day.

Our most enthusiastic users are non-technical builders, but we're engineers building in a world previously dominated by engineers. We want UX craft and delight to become why users stay. We need someone whose taste and rigor turn that belief into the product.

### What you'll do

* Talk to users constantly and form strong product opinions as a basis for UX.
* **Design the multiplayer.** Make working with your team feel genuinely different from working alone: presence, alignment inboxes, personalized reports, and the moments where humans and AI agents collaborate. Treat conflict and co-authorship as UX problems, not just engineering ones.
* **Define agent UX.** Translate complex agentic behavior (multi-step tasks, planning, code review, preview environments) into interfaces people understand, trust, and can steer.
* **Make a complex, technical platform feel human.** Resolve the power-vs-simplicity tension so non-technical builders feel capable and engineers feel respected, the same surfaces, both audiences.

### Requirements

* You've owned design for successful products at real scale or in fast 0-to-1 environments, ideally as an early designer at a company that shipped something people actually use. 7+ years of experience.
* Expert in either Figma, Origami, FigJam or similar interface / UX design tools.
* Exceptional craft and product judgment. Strong interaction design, visual taste, workflow UX.
* Demonstrated ability to make complex things simple. You take dense, multi-step, technical workflows and design clear, focused experiences.

### Nice-to-have

* Experience designing real-time, multiplayer, or collaborative software: presence, live cursors/avatars, co-editing, contextual comments, shared state.
* Experience designing for both technical and non-technical audiences and can communicate design concepts clearly to both.
* Experience designing for AI / agentic products, e.g. human-in-the-loop, trust and transparency, human steering, agent-action legibility.
* Past experience in a Product Management or a similar role where you were involved in product discovery.
* Can prototype in code (React/TypeScript, modern CSS) and are fluent with AI build tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
