As theSenior Director, Change Management, you will serve as the enterprise change management leader within theCRG Transformation Office (CRGTO), driving the people side of transformation across the Clinical Research Group. In this strategic leadership role, you will design and execute scalable change management strategies that enable successful adoption of workforce transformation, operating model redesign, digital innovation, AI-enabled solutions, and organizational change initiatives.
You will partner closely with executive leadership, transformation program leaders, HR, Digital Innovation, Commercial & Customer Innovation, and Operations leaders to ensure transformation initiatives achieve their intended business outcomes through effective stakeholder engagement, leadership alignment, communications, capability development, and adoption strategies.
This role will establish and lead a best-in-class Change Management capability, developing reusable frameworks, methodologies, and playbooks that support a portfolio of enterprise transformation programs while strengthening CRG's long-term organizational capability.
Working closely with senior leaders across the organization, you will help accelerate strategic transformation while supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Change Leadership
- Lead change management strategy for a portfolio of enterprise transformation initiatives across CRG.
- Develop integrated change management approaches that support business transformation, operating model redesign, workforce evolution, and digital adoption.
- Partner with executive sponsors to drive leadership alignment and organizational readiness.
Workforce Transformation & Organization Design
- Support large-scale workforce transformation initiatives, including role redesign, capability shifts, organizational restructuring, and global workforce expansion.
- Develop change strategies supporting expansion of delivery capabilities globally
- Partner with function and business leaders to ensure successful transition and adoption of future-state operating models.
Digital, AI & Innovation Adoption
- Lead change management efforts supporting digital transformation, automation, AI-enabled workflows, and innovation initiatives.
- Develop adoption frameworks that accelerate realization of business value from technology investments.
- Ensure employees and leaders are equipped to successfully adopt new tools, processes, and ways of working.
Change Management Center of Excellence
- Build and lead a scalable Change Management Center of Excellence (CoE) within CRGTO.
- Establish enterprise change methodologies, playbooks, templates, tools, and best practices.
- Develop repeatable frameworks that can be leveraged across the CRG transformation portfolio.
- Create capability-building programs that strengthen change leadership throughout CRG.
Transformation Program Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to transformation program leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Develop stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption strategies.
- Establish change success metrics, adoption KPIs, and benefit realization indicators.
- Monitor organizational health and proactively address change-related risks.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing change management professionals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coach leaders and teams on effective change leadership practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Advanced Degree plus 8+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 10+ years of experience, in Change Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Transformation Leadership, Business Transformation, Operations Leadership, or related disciplines within life sciences, pharmaceutical, CRO, healthcare, or regulated industries.
- Preferred Fields of Study: Organizational Psychology, Business, Human Resources, Engineering, Science, Organizational Development, or related discipline.
- Prosci, Change Management Practitioner, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or related certifications preferred.
- 8+ years of people leadership experience leading cross-functional and matrixed teams.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale change management efforts supporting large transformation programs.
- Experience supporting workforce transformation, operating model redesign, organizational restructuring, and global workforce strategies.
- Demonstrated success supporting digital, technology, automation, and AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience developing scalable frameworks, methodologies, and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and leadership coaching skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (20–30%).
- Fluency in English required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and scaling enterprise Change Management Centers of Excellence.
- Experience supporting global delivery organizations and multi-region workforce transitions.
- Experience within Clinical Research, CRO, Pharmaceutical Services, Life Sciences, or Healthcare environments.
- Deep understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, and capability development.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation portfolios exceeding $25M–$100M+ in value.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience, in operations management or project leadership within life sciences/pharmaceutical industry
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Science, Business, or related technical field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Additional relevant industry certifications valued
• 7+ years of people management experience leading cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated expertise in program/portfolio management methodologies and best practices
• Strong financial acumen with P&L responsibility experience
• Advanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proven experience successfully leading large-scale business transformation initiatives
• Excellence in stakeholder management and executive-level communication
• Experience working effectively in matrix organizations
