DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Field Applications Scientist to provide technical support and training for our analytical and scientific solutions. In this role, you'll collaborate with sales teams and customers to deliver demonstrations, applications support, and training that enables research and innovation. You'll serve as a scientific advisor, helping customers optimize their workflows and maximize the value of their investments while contributing to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Working across multiple technology platforms, you'll provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales technical expertise, conduct product demonstrations, develop new applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and build relationships with customers. Your role will involve working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, R&D, and product management, to ensure customer success and drive business growth through technical excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
[Portfolio Support]
Serve as a customer-facing technical expert, demonstrating intimate knowledge of products and familiarity with priorities and challenges in the field.
Provide field and remote support to our sales organization by providing customers with hands-on technical guidance (pre & post-sales activities).
Lead and actively participate in laboratory activities and experiments for collaborative projects, application development, and protocol validation.
Deliver scientific seminars and host round table discussions.
Develop and lead hands-on demos and training.
[Business Enablement]
Interface with global FAS teams, collaboration centers, R&D teams, and product management teams to serve as liaison between customers and business.
Attend conferences and events to grow technical knowledge, capture developing trends, and support lead generation.
Interact with marketing teams to drive new initiatives and develop customer-facing content.
[Requirements]
Ph.D. in biology, stem cell biology, organoids, or related field; or equivalent knowledge and industry/functional experience.
Requires experience and knowledge of these fields: pluripotent/adult stem cell-based organoids or related fields
Requires basic experimental skills for cell culture and analytical solutions related to CGT
Be preferential to those who have prior practical experience with multiple types of organoids
Possess a strong understanding of customer challenges associated with a transition to the clinical workflow (scale-up, regulatory requirements, GMP manufacturing, etc)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a results-oriented environment
Experience in project management and ability to handle multiple priorities
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
Be preferential to those who have proficient English skills for international communication.
Willingness to travel up to 50-75%
Valid driver's license and passport required for travel
